My Wife's Experience - No Response from Litchfield Medical Center - I would like to make Dr Duffy aware that I will be changing Doctors. When I called in about needing refills, I was told not until I come in for an appointment. My scripts are maintenance drugs that I have been on for years. I changed jobs and do not have insurance for another 60 days. I explained that to the representative I spoke with who said there was nothing that could be done. The cost of the medications is bad enough, but to have to pay for an appointment and blood work out of pocket for medications I have taken for years is unfair. Based on this lack of concern for me, I will be changing doctors. I like Dr Duffy and found him to be a good doctor, but I have to go where my needs can be met through compromise and not ignored in light of generating appointment dollars. The representative I spoke with was extremely uncaring.
Refused me, ended up in Georgetown memorial hospital ER...
Horrible care, need a reg. Perscpiption ...
I have been a patient of Dr. Rives since he started his practice. He is hands down the best doctor I have ever experienced (I'm 59). I am asthmatic, and he went way beyond the norm in helping me to find the right treatment to control my condition. He fits me in on short notice, and always takes the time to get to the bottom of things. He is a rarity in today's medical world, he is patient focused.
Dr. Rives cares about $$$ and not your actual health. I have seen him for over a year and a half but am now done with him. Last time I went for a serious issue and was send home and later on had to go to the ER because of this same issue.
I don't understand the bad reviews I've read. I'm assuming they are by walk-in tourist who expect the treatment of a hospital in a general practitioners office. I however, have not experienced anything but greatness with Dr. Rives. I had been through a total of 6 doctors before I got referred to Dr. Rives. No doctor has ever taken the time to talk with me so in depth about my current condition as well as Dr. Rives did. His bedside manner is very professional and caring. He doesn't let you leave until you are in total understanding of what is happening. He is also a "no bull-crap" kind of doctor. So if you're wanting a doctor who will tell you the trust and not sugar coat it, then this is your guy.
Any know a tuff lawyer..
I also heard from a friend how uncaring he is - so I know it is not just me.
Almost died..
