We will never be back to stay at True Blue Resort because they do not check rooms before they are booked and maintenance does no up keep!! The pictures online are very miss leading and you better check your room before you put your family in for the night. Don't stay in TB18H at True Blue at Pawleys Island!! Nasty place and not maintained at all!
Of course we called Litchfield office and the said nothing they could that night so we went back down to the office at 1am and told them we are not sleeping there and showed them all the pictures we had and could not believe how nasty it was.
Worst waste of money. Unit 7D. Bare bones bedrooms, no bedside lamp, floor lamp with no bulb or switch, one pillow per bed, no bolsters or headboard, one bed against the wall, the other against the closet. Old, bent up aluminum mini blinds with 20 years of grime. Living room missing slats on the verticals, bathroom missing light bulb. Has been smoked in. Dark and depressing, especially for the price!
So after we woke our 2 kids up at 3am and moved to a better non-occupied room with no bugs we got a whole 4 hours of sleep.
All baseboards and most walls paint was missing and huge marks everywhere. Cabinets in kitchen had big scratch marks so paint was gone as well. The carpets all had black stains and needed a deep shampooing and made you not want to take your shoes off. Spider webs all in the corners of most rooms. All ceiling fans are about to fall if you turn speeds above low. Someone broke all the backs off of the 4 barstools so it made holes in the bottom which scraped my 4 years sides up. Wall paper in master bath was falling off the wall. All furniture seemed 2nd hand and all the kitchen table chairs had holes in them.
So back to the office again to find another room and they finally got us in another room for the night but said we will have to move in the morning because they were booked.
We finally got into the cottage C next door and it's greatly outdated and starting to fall apart but it's clean and hope it will do for 2 days.
Next morning we went to the desk ASAP to see what we have to do and of course they have to make us move for the 3rd time on our 3 day stay. They did comp. us breakfast but our room was still not ready till almost 1pm so a whole day of our luggage being in our car wasting a full day.
Seriously I dont understand how this place could get any less than 5 stars!! Multiple pools, right on the golf course, awesome weight room and only a 5 minute drive to the beach. Our place was SUPER CLEAN and VERY nice!! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Our room smelled of mildew and had bugs!!
The front desk staff was very nice. There were a couple insects and the tv in the master bedroom was a 13" inch, old school, fat back, Fred flintstone made in 1998 with a DVD player attached. Lol! The other room had no tv. The tv in the living room was a flatscreen. Also the apartment had a funny smell. We'd stay again though.
they moved us to these 4 bedroom cottages so we walked in to check it out before we moved our family at 2am this time. We walk in and grocery bags everywhere so we ran outside and called Litchfield again and they assured us no-one was in the room!! So they sent security over 30 min later so it's after 2:30am and we still don't have a place to put our family. The security guy walked in and came running back saying a lady is sleeping in the bed!!! I believe he was more shocked then we were.
I was on vacation from June 30-July 7; The first day was okay until we woke up to cold showers for 3 1/2 days until maintenance came and even then after 3 people shower water is cold again. I had a family of 8 people and the stay was horrible. On July 4th i was resting while my wife and kids with the rest of family went to pool. I get a call from my son saying the security guard that was white ask them to leave pool when we have paid a lot to stay in this condo across from pool. He claim they have to leave because are bands was not the same color as the residents band,but they say true blue/pawleys island. Then one of the residents that were also white made a smart remark by saying to white security guard(bout time u did your job) my wife and kids heard that because i was getting on security guard for being racist towards african americans to remind you he kicked another black family out of pool the day before. I told my wife if i would had heard that couple say that I would have smacked the fire out of her husband for that disrespect but they beneath me and do not belong on gods earth. Then when are familys complained they gave us a little refund of a hundred bucks but i am not satisfied I am very close to filing a discrimanation charge against true blue resort for not wanting black families at there resort. I think I should be refunded all my money or they can give me and my big family that takes vacation every year in myrtle beach area/Pawleys island. My reservation number was 776157! I will be waiting to hear from someone within 20 days about this matter or I am going to WMBF news about this matter then the courts.
